Mumble Aloud Privacy Policy

Mumble Aloud is a voice-controlled language game. It uses your microphone and Apple's Speech Recognition features for short spoken answers.

App data and accounts

The app does not require an account or include advertising or third-party analytics. It does not send personal data, audio recordings or recognized answers to a developer server, and it does not sell user data.

Microphone and speech recognition

The app requests Microphone and Speech Recognition permission to match your spoken answers to a game's vocabulary. It does not create or store audio recordings. Recognition is handled through Apple's system speech services after you grant permission. Processing availability and Apple's handling depend on your device, language, settings and Apple's applicable terms. The app does not promise that recognition always happens offline.

Pronunciation examples use an installed iOS voice. Additional system voices, if you choose to download them, are supplied by Apple.

Local game data

The recent-word strip is temporary display feedback; hiding it does not stop recognition.

The app stores settings, selected vocabulary groups and their saved membership, saved word cards, practice counts, best scores and historical progress in its local app data. Earlier language choices and scores may remain as historical data. The app does not transmit this progress to the developer. Device backup and restore are controlled separately by iOS and your settings.

Purchases and access

Apple processes the free trial transaction, lifetime purchase and Restore Purchases through StoreKit. The app verifies Apple's transaction information to determine access and keeps a small local snapshot of the verified access state and fixed trial expiration. Trial access does not renew or charge automatically. Purchase processing and Apple Account information are handled by Apple under its terms; the developer does not receive your payment details. No developer purchase-verification server is used.
